Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Audio Technician/Project Manager to manage all aspects of audio setup, operation, and maintenance for our events. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. This role involves collaborating with our production team to ensure seamless execution of events, from conferences and corporate functions to live performances.
Responsibilities
Project Manager Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors/customers for the successful execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time within scope
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Audio Visual Component Responsibilities
- Audio/Visual Setup and Operation: Set up, test, and operate audio visual equipment for events, including video switchers, soundboards, microphones, speakers, and other related gear
- Ensure all audio systems are functioning correctly and safely
- Willing to work odd hours/weekends/public holidays
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during events, troubleshooting any audio issues that arise
- Collaborate with other technical teams (lighting, video) to ensure a cohesive event experience
- Maintenance and Inventory: Maintain and perform routine checks on all AV equipment to ensure it is in good working order
- Manage inventory of AV equipment, reporting any issues or needs for replacement
- Event Planning and Coordination: Work closely with event coordinators to understand event requirements and plan accordingly
- Participate in pre-event meetings to discuss technical aspects and ensure smooth execution
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and event staff to achieve event goals
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of audio systems, including digital consoles, microphones, and speaker systems
- Experience with audio software and hardware
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to audio equipment
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in events or live performance settings
- Proven track record of successfully managing audio for events
- Knowledge of Video Conference & AV equipment, WebEx & Zoom operations, and Cisco infrastructure product is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
Certifications and Education
- Relevant certifications in audio technology or a related field are advantageous
- A diploma in audio engineering or a related field is desirable but not required
