Associate Director— Private Markets (PE/VC Focus)
About The Role

We are seeking a senior, driven, and analytical investment professional to join our growing team in a leadership capacity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our private equity and venture capital strategy, leading a team of investment and advisory professionals, overseeing deal sourcing and execution, and contributing to value creation across portfolio companies.

This role is suited for an experienced investment professional with a proven track record in private equity and/or venture capital, who is ready to take ownership of end-to-end investment processes, lead idea generation, and contribute meaningfully to portfolio construction, monitoring, and exit strategies at a senior level.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in private markets, strong investment acumen, and operational leadership, combined with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset to help scale the platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads - sourcing, evaluation, and execution of private equity and venture capital opportunities across Asia and globally.
  • Generate investment ideas and client / deals pipeline both individually and with the team through market mapping, thematic research, and identification of high-potential companies and sectors.
  • Oversee financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence processes, coordinating with or managing external third-party advisors or vendors where necessary (legal, financial, tax, and technical).
  • Take ownership of transaction structuring, negotiation, and investment committee presentations.
  • Monitor portfolio company performance and actively support value creation initiatives, including strategic planning, capital raising, and M&A.
  • Contribute to portfolio construction, diversification strategy, and risk management across private market investments.
  • Manage relationships with portfolio company management teams, co-investors, industry partners, and advisors.
  • Provide strategic input on fund structuring, mandate design, and operational readiness for new private equity/VC vehicles, which include VCC and other fund structures.
  • Lead, mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance investment culture.
  • Contribute to broader business initiatives, product development, and investor engagement as part of the leadership team.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related field; CFA designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in private equity, venture capital, or related principal investment roles within asset management, investment firms, or family offices.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate, evaluate, and execute investments, with proven high-conviction deal experience.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, transaction structuring, and due diligence.
  • Experience in portfolio management, with a track record of supporting growth and value creation in portfolio companies.
  • Familiarity with co-investments, club deals, and working alongside institutional and family investors.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and mentoring abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (or other major Asian languages), both written and verbal, to effectively communicate and support cross-border investments and investor relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words, PowerPoint and experienced with data platforms such as PitchBook, Preqin, or Capital IQ is essential.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a hands-on approach and cross-functional collaboration mindset.
Employment Package

The successful candidate will receive a generous remuneration package, which includes performance bonus, full medical and health benefits and paid time-off. Basic salary for this role is expected to be in the range of SGD 8,000-14,000 and commensurate with the candidate’s abilities and experience.
