JOB DESCRIPTION
Design Leadership & Development
  • Lead and collaborate closely with the design team to pitch, win, and develop interior design projects
  • Oversee the design process from concept development to documentation, construction, and installation
  • Ensure design solutions are creative, functional, and aligned with client objectives
  • Source reference materials and conduct research to ensure materials and products are fit for purpose
  • Stay informed on design trends and apply strategic innovation to workplace design solutions
  • Share inspiration and references to support creative thinking across the team
Project Management & Coordination
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and design schedules to ensure successful outcomes
  • Attend project meetings and contribute effectively to technical and design discussions
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities on project-related matters
  • Work closely with project managers, design coordinators, and teams on presentations, development, and production
  • Oversee day-to-day project activities and ensure alignment with design intent and execution
Client Engagement & Business Development
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients
  • Identify new project opportunities and contribute to business development efforts
  • Prepare accurate and timely fee proposals and support pitch presentations
  • Represent the studio professionally in client-facing engagements’
Quantity Surveying & Cost Management
  • Provide cost planning and budgeting support throughout the design and construction phases
  • Evaluate and recommend materials and finishes based on cost, quality, and suitability
  • Assist in tender documentation, cost estimation, and contract administration
  • Monitor project costs and variations to ensure alignment with budget
  • Support value engineering efforts while maintaining design integrity
Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Studio Director/CEO to lead and grow the team
  • Promote teamwork, integrity, and a collaborative work culture
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive studio environment
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure accountability across all phases
REQUIREMENTS
  • A recognized Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. Minimum 10 years of local working experience.
  • Adopt hands on approach and has “can do attitude”
  • Responsive and proactive and have real passionConversant with local codes and regulations.
  • Good verbal presentation skills.
