Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a Finance Manager in Singapore to lead the finance team and ensure compliance with local and international financial standards. Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the finance team in Singapore; ensure effective communication with the finance team and other departments.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with local regulations (CAS/C-GAAP) and international standards (IFRS)
  • Assist in group consolidation reports and schedules
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing processes and reporting to HQ in Singapore
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts; monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis
  • Monitor cash flow; ensure efficient cash management and maintain banking relationships
  • Review payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls
  • Assist in quarterly group consolidation reports and schedules
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany and operational activities
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as bankers, auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial, and government authorities as required
  • Support and ensure compliance with corporate filing requirements, tax filing, monthly VAT, audits, and internal forms
  • Assist in other duties and responsibilities assigned by management
  • Report to the Group Finance Manager and Group CFO

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance
  • Good working knowledge of CAS, C-GAAP, and IFRS
  • Well-versed in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • A self-starter who can plan, organize, and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
  • Strong sense of numbers with business acumen
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and a strong drive and passion for work
  • Excellent team player with strong communication, people-management, and organizational skills
  • Prior experience with listed companies or in audit is an advantage
