A local accounting firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to prepare financial documents and ensure timely supplier payments. The ideal candidate should possess a diploma in Accountancy, have at least one year of relevant experience, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Good communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential to interact with clients. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and journal vouchers.
Ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Learn and utilize our in-house accounting system.
Perform accurate data entry and recording.
Assist with inventory-related accounting entries.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
Handle day-to-day accounting transactions.
Visit banks for submission of physical documents when required.
Support other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification.
Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Able to speak and write well in English & Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Min. 1 year of relevant accounting experience
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Meticulous, analytical and have a positive work attitude
A team player with a strong sense of commitment and urgency to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
Singaporean only due to quota limitations
