Accounting Service Sales Executive – Job Role
Position Overview
The Accounting Service Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling accounting-related services, including bookkeeping, payroll, tax compliance, and advisory solutions. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, maintaining strong client relationships, and working closely with internal accounting and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for accounting, payroll, and compliance services
- Conduct client meetings to understand business needs and propose suitable service packages
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and service agreements
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients during the sales cycle
- Build long-term relationships with SMEs, startups, and corporate clients
- Coordinate client onboarding with the accounting and operations teams
- Follow up on client satisfaction and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities
Product & Service Knowledge
- Maintain a strong understanding of accounting services, statutory requirements, and government initiatives (e.g. InvoiceNow, GST, payroll compliance)
- Clearly explain service scope, timelines, and compliance obligations to clients
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends
Coordination & Internal Support
- Liaise with accounting, payroll, and support teams to ensure accurate service delivery
- Ensure proper documentation and handover after deal closure
- Assist in resolving client concerns related to service scope or billing
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities, and client information
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review
- Ensure compliance with internal sales and approval processes
Requirements & Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related fields
- Prior experience in sales, client servicing, or accounting services is an advantage
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to understand financial concepts and explain them clearly to clients
- Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and results‑oriented
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales revenue achieved
- Number of new clients onboarded
- Client retention and satisfaction rate
- Accuracy of service handover and documentation
5-Day Work Week
A standard 5-day work week, Monday through Friday, with regular office hours. However, the specific working hours may vary depending on the organization’s policies and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience
- "O" level or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of working experience preferred (for management trainee)
- Minimum 2 years of working experience preferred
- Accountant, Bookkeeper or Customer Service experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Accounting software would be an advantage
- Immediate availability preferred
