A leading welding service provider in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a certified welder to participate in the repair service of bonded parts for RSADF systems. The ideal candidate must have hands-on welding experience, compliance with safety standards, and the ability to operate welding tools effectively. Overview

Industry certified welder. Duties: Takes part in the repair service of bonded parts/assemblies for RSADF systems that are covered under the currently accepted TAA. Work location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Supply welding guidance to the directorate/section manager. Collaborate with group for repair, test and inspection of launchers or other tools calling for welding. Maintain all welding tools and assigned devices in the depot to carry out job tasks. Knowledge of proper shop ventilation required for welding and understanding of how to maintain the weld area (walls and floors) protected from sparks and hot metal. Detailed understanding of reading drawings, blueprints and welding signs, and taking dimensions to prepare design and procedures. Determine the appropriate welding devices, procedure and/or technique based on requirements. Set up components for welding according to specs (e.g. cut material with powered saws and/or gas apparatus to match measurements). Run mills with abrasives, wire brushes, and/or carbides to prepare parts for welding. Align elements using calipers, rulers, etc. and secure pieces. Weld parts using hand-held or semi-automatic welding devices in various positions (upright, horizontal, or overhead). Use any required authorized welding changes. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not endanger safety. Comply with relevant RSADF safety and security plans, procedures and standards. Must use safety helmets, respirators, gloves, and garments as needed for safety. Perform various other related tasks as required by the section officer. This position requires a Saudi person that is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Required Abilities / Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a physical hands-on welding examination
  • Experience in using electrical or manually operated devices (mills, saws, squares, calipers, tape measure, etc.)
  • Knowledge of general delamination
  • Demonstrated capability in rust treatment and repair of metal and fiberglass surfaces
