Job summary

A leading transformer service provider in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Transformer Technician with a diploma or ITI in a relevant electrical field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in transformer manufacturing or testing. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with power transformers and switchgear testing, including ACDB/DCDB components. GCC experience is preferred along with mandatory experience working with transformer companies. This position offers an opportunity to work with varied equipment and contribute to critical testing operations.

Transformer Technician

Qualification & Experience:

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• Hands‑on experience with power transformers, reactors, and switchgear testing.
• Testing of ACDB/DCDB components and contact resistance.
• Auxiliary relays & MCB testing in control and protection panels.
• Surge arrestors, CT & VT testing.
• LV cable insulation, continuity, phasing & control cable insulation tests.
• EHV/HV/MV switchgear testing (SF6 gas, CT, VT, MCB, MCCB, auxiliary relays).
• Auxiliary & power transformer testing: oil BDV, turns ratio, winding resistance, DC insulation resistance.
• Reactor testing and insulation checks.
