Job description
Overview

Valleysoft | Center of Excellence is a well-established IT services provider based in Egypt, leveraging partnerships with global technology leaders to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. Our mission is to optimize business processes through advanced technology with a focus on excellence and customer satisfaction.

Job Purpose

We’re looking for a Technical Team Lead (ACE) to lead delivery of mission‑critical banking integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE). One resource will be onsite and one offshore. You’ll own technical design, mentor developers, enforce engineering standards, and work closely with architecture, security, and platform teams to deliver secure, resilient integrations under strict SLAs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a squad of ACE developers: task planning, technical guidance, reviews, delivery governance.
  • Own solution design for integrations across core banking, payments, channels, AML/Fraud, CRM/KYC, and enterprise services.
  • Define integration standards: naming conventions, reusable libraries/subflows, error handling, logging, tracing, and deployment patterns.
  • Architect and develop ACE solutions: message flows, API flows, ESQL, mappings, routing/orchestration.
  • Drive non‑functional requirements: security, performance, scalability, high availability, DR readiness, and audit compliance.
  • Partner with security teams on TLS/mTLS, certificates/keystores, OAuth2/JWT, secrets handling, and secure configurations.
  • Ensure operational excellence: monitoring, alerting, runbooks, incident response support, RCA and preventive actions.
  • Lead technical ceremonies with stakeholders: design walkthroughs, risk reviews, release readiness, dependency management.
  • Guide CI/CD and environments: BAR packaging, configuration management, promotion strategy, rollback planning.
  • Support production issues and coach the team in debugging MQ/API/network/cert issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong hands‑on experience in IBM ACE (or IIB) with end‑to‑end delivery ownership.
  • At least 5‑10 years of experience.
  • Expert knowledge of ESQL, message modeling (XML/JSON), mapping, validation, and integration patterns.
  • Strong experience with IBM MQ (backout handling, DLQs, channels, performance tuning).
  • Proven leadership experience: mentoring, code/design reviews, estimation, delivery planning.
  • Strong understanding of API management concepts (versioning, contracts, governance, security controls).
  • Banking domain awareness: SLA‑driven systems, audit trails, data privacy, segregation of duties, change management.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise environments (Linux basics, networking, certs, middleware).
  • ACE on OpenShift/Kubernetes and container‑first deployment patterns.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices: pipelines, automated testing, quality gates.
Leadership & Governance Expectations
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, reusable components, and documentation quality.
  • Ensure traceability end‑to‑end (correlation IDs, structured logs, audit events).
  • Maintain technical backlog (tech debt, performance improvements, platform upgrades).
  • Act as primary technical point‑of‑contact for integration streams and cross‑team alignment.
