Job Purpose
Role is to support the Principal Engineer in driving the implementation of technology use cases, vendor discussions, and in-house AI-ML applications on internal use cases. You will utilize your expertise in data science and artificial intelligence to contribute to the development and deployment of innovative solutions across the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to identify and evaluate AI-ML use cases for enhancing process efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional technologies.
- Assist in developing and implementing novel data science and AI applications, including AI-advisory modelling, ML algorithms, and AI-based ESG and safety dashboards.
- Conduct technical research to explore potential AI-ML applications and stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in the field.
- Contribute to the development of testing and validation protocols to ensure successful implementation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to establish best practices, standards, policies, and procedures for the adoption of novel AI and data science applications.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in data science and artificial intelligence, and share knowledge with the team.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, IT Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science and AI-ML technologies, with a focus on driving innovation and efficiency improvements in the extractive industry.
