Overview

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager for City Assets to lead the mechanical design efforts for our cutting-edge urban developments. This role is integral in ensuring that all mechanical systems comply with the highest standards of performance, sustainability, and accessibility, contributing to the vision of Qiddiya as a premier destination for entertainment and leisure. The City Asset portfolio covers Education, Security, Religious and Healthcare projects. As the Mechanical Design Manager, you will oversee the design and implementation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire life & safety and other related mechanical systems) that support Education, Security, Religious and Healthcare facilities within the city. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, ensuring that all systems are seamlessly integrated and contribute to the overall functionality and aesthetic of our development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the mechanical design processes for city assets, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and sustainability goals.
  • Oversee the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems across various projects, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive design solutions that enhance the user experience.
  • Review and approve design calculations, specifications, and drawings, ensuring design integrity and compliance with applicable codes.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and provide guidance to contractors and subcontractors.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers, fostering professional development and a collaborative work environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical design technology, methodologies, and regulations to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and design proposals to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient in industry‑standard design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience in the design/construction of at least one of the following building types: Education or Security or Religious or Healthcare projects.
