Reports To:Regional Director – Supply Chain (IMEA)

Position Summary

The Senior Project Engineer will lead capital investment initiatives across assigned plants, managing full project lifecycles from concept to commissioning and final handover. The role requires strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and hands‑on expertise in engineering design, project governance, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Project & CAPEX Management
  • Lead end‑to‑end execution of CAPEX projects within scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee project documentation, capital cash flow forecasting, and reporting.
  • Coordinate functional teams (Maintenance, CI, Operations, external contractors).
  • Present project status and plans to senior leadership and steering committees.
  • Drive equipment upgrades, new installations, and process improvements.
Technical & Strategic Planning
  • Develop and update annual site Master Plans for equipment and facility layouts.
  • Conduct ROI analysis and evaluate technical feasibility of investment proposals.
  • Recommend improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Early Management & Vertical Start‑Up (VSU)
  • Lead Design Briefs, FAT, SAT, CQV, and all VSU activities for new projects.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Project Management & Early Management principles.
  • Train and mentor project engineers to strengthen overall project capabilities.
Problem Solving & Technical Support
  • Troubleshoot complex plant engineering issues (utilities, HVAC, raw materials flow, packaging equipment, conveyors, electrical systems, etc.).
  • Approve design changes, equipment specifications, and process flows.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies into ongoing operations.
Collaboration & External Management
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and technical partners.
  • Liaise with OEMs, consultants, government bodies, and engineering service providers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years in Engineering Project Management within manufacturing (preferably food, FMCG, or process industries).
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Engineering Standards.
  • Financial acumen (IRR, ROI, DCF, payback, TCO calculations).
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
