Role Purpose
Senior Contracts Administrator role is to provide commercial support to the assigned Contracts or Commercial Director/Manager and Contracts and Commercial team (office or projects). Part of his duties are to support management, risk management, financial management, EOT claims, prolongation claims, project communication and other administration activities.
Job Accountabilities
- Manage and prepare claims related to extensions of time, prolongation costs, and contractual entitlements.
- Prepare and defend delay claims, ensuring comprehensive documentation and substantiation.
- Develop and maintain a contract management responsibilities matrix.
- Manage and prepare a contractual strategy to mitigate risks related to liquidated damage (LDs).
- Assist and guide Project Managers on contract compliance and best practices.
- Provide contractual provisions related to parties’ rights/obligations in respect of dispute avoidance/resolution.
- Manage change orders, ensuring received variations are correctly evaluated and documented.
- Prepare contractual letters, notes, and variation orders as required.
- Collect, prepare, and distribute weekly relevant commercial and contractual records.
- Prepare a matrix regarding project warranty issues and expirations, ensuring accurate tracking.
- Provide guidance on contractual provisions related to the rights and obligations of parties to facilitate dispute avoidance and resolution.
- Gather all data and information required in coordination with Project Managers to substantiate and record the facts of delays.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration, business administration, legal or related field.
- A deep understanding of contract terms, conditions, and commercial clauses.
- Knowledge of contractual entitlements, delay claims, extension of time, and prolongation costs are vital for preparing and defending claims.
- Knowledge of how to handle and prepare claims related to contract entitlements, including delays, additional costs, and variations.
- Understanding the process of defending claims and negotiating.
- Familiarity with identifying, mitigating, and managing risks related to contractual obligations, including liquidated damages (LDs) and variations.
- Knowledge of managing commercial and contractual records, including data collection, tracking, and reporting processes.
- Understanding how to ensure that all project activities comply with contractual terms, including working with project managers to ensure adherence to contract provisions, warranties, and deadlines.
- Knowledge of managing change requests and evaluating variations to ensure proper documentation and processing.
- Understanding how to manage changes and maintain control over contract modifications is essential for effective contract administration.
- Knowledge of dispute resolution methods, such as arbitration, and understanding the legal provisions related to the rights and obligations of all parties involved.
