The role involves designing, installing, and integrating security systems, including Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.

The ideal candidate will be versatile, capable of working across all disciplines—from technology research to system design, construction oversight, and maintenance. They should have in-depth security technology knowledge, be innovative, organized, and capable of delivering results on time and within budget.

The SPM is a key member of the APMEA Security team, reporting to the MEA SPM lead. They supervise physical security standards compliance, manage security projects, serve on cross-functional teams, and are recognized as Subject Matter Experts in physical security.

The ultimate goal is to develop, implement, and commission standardized security infrastructure systems across AWS regions, measured by objectives related to customer service, access control, and protection of data, employees, and visitors. The role involves ensuring compliance with physical security standards and enabling local site managers to access related services efficiently.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing technical leadership for large-scale security projects, coordinating design specifications, and managing changes with internal teams and vendors.
  2. Managing projects' scope, budgets, and timelines to ensure standards compliance.
  3. Designing, developing, and implementing solutions for system upgrades, repairs, and changes.
  4. Supporting security system commissioning, including final testing and acceptance.
  5. Developing and deploying training programs for security system users.

AWS Infrastructure Services manages the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling. We are committed to safety, security, and operational excellence, working with diverse teams to maintain high standards and cost efficiency.

Our inclusive culture encourages bold ideas, ownership, and continuous learning. We value diverse experiences and welcome candidates from varied backgrounds, even if they do not meet all preferred qualifications.
