Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a crucial role in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial management of various building and infrastructure initiatives.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Develop and manage tender documents, including bills of quantities
  • Evaluate bids from contractors and subcontractors
  • Monitor project costs and prepare regular financial reports
  • Assess and process variation orders and claims
  • Conduct on-site measurements and valuations of completed work
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes with contractors and clients
  • Prepare interim and final account statements
  • Advise on procurement strategies and contractual matters
  • Stay updated on industry trends, building regulations, and cost data
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, or a related field
  • 15 years of experience in pre and post contract work within a consultancy or main contractor environment
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of various building contracts and their application
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia
  • Problem-solving ability and capacity to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Arabic language skills are highly desirable
