Job Summary
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials and products.
Responsibilities / Accountability & Authority
- Designs and installs quality control process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques.
- Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.
- Analyzes production limitations and standards.
- Recommends revision of specifications when indicated.
- Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures.
- Develops the economics of any quality control program when required.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and facilities.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Prepares relevant reports, forms and verifies the results of quality activities.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
- Responsible for the entire quality of production at all operations and projects in coating.
- Maintain Company QA programs and QMS, conducts ISO 9001-2015 internal and external audits.
- Root cause analysis, preventive and reactive action analysis.
- Provides quality training to all the employees.
- Supervise the entire quality team comprising lead inspectors, QA / QC inspectors and Lab Inspectors.
- Responsible for plant qualification, product qualification and quarterly sample corporate quality approval.
- Handling quality documents like ITP, QAR, NCR, MOC, PCP, COC and IC.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
Behavioral Skills / Competencies & Experience Required
- Bachelor of Engineering: Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience in similar work environment.
- Experience in conducting OCTG products inspection and quality supervision on various corrosion control processes including powder and liquid coating; represent the completion tools assembly. Successful at managing customer expectations and delivering results built on extensive industry knowledge.
