Overview

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QHSE Officer to oversee and ensure the effective implementation of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies across all company operations. Based in Jubail, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in both quality management and HSE practices within industrial or analytical equipment environments. The role is vital to maintaining compliance with local and international standards while promoting a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain AKIC’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Quality across projects including analyzer shelters, system integration, and site services: Ensure quality procedures are adhered to across projects.
• Internal quality audits and coordination with external certification bodies.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Work with Engineering and Projects teams to ensure product quality meets customer and regulatory requirements.

• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE): Implement and monitor the company’s HSE Management System as per ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper control measures are in place at workshops and client sites.
• Deliver HSE inductions and toolbox talks for all employees and subcontractors.
• Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and safety inspections; lead incident investigations and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and RC-Jubail safety standards when applicable.

• General: Coordinate with Jubail operations team to maintain high QHSE standards during design, fabrication, FAT, and site works.
• Monitor and review subcontractors' compliance with AKIC’s QHSE policies.
• Prepare QHSE documentation for tenders, projects, and customer requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of combined experience in Quality Assurance and HSE roles, preferably in industrial or analyzer-based environments.
• Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 / 45001 / 14001 preferred.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law, RC regulations, and international safety standards.
• Experience with documentation for Aramco/SABIC/RC projects is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in incident investigation, risk assessment, and report writing.
