Job Overview
Our client, an ultra-luxury events and banqueting company in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly driven and well-connected Project Manager – Sales to spearhead proactive sales initiatives.
The successful candidate will already have a strong presence in the market, with an extensive client network across corporate, government, social, and high-end event segments.
This role requires a proactive sales professional with proven expertise in outside catering and luxury hospitality sales, capable of generating leads, driving conversions, and creating strong partnerships to deliver outstanding business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and convert leads through proactive sales activities, with a focus on outside catering, luxury events, and corporate functions.
- Leverage extensive client networks to secure business from corporate accounts, government entities, affluent families, wedding and event planners, DMCs, production companies, and venues.
- Support the Assistant Director of Sales and wider sales team by connecting them with key accounts and decision-makers.
- Build long-term partnerships through effective negotiations and business development strategies.
- Participate in sales calls, site visits, and client meetings to secure and close new business opportunities.
- Proactively gather and share market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry updates to identify and capture new opportunities.
- Represent the company at key industry events and maintain strong visibility within the market.
- Drive awareness of catering and event services while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
- Contribute to revenue growth by converting opportunities into confirmed business in both short-term and contractual catering projects.
- Uphold excellent client relationship management, providing a positive representation at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven track record of success in sales within Saudi Arabia, with an established database of key contacts.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in catering / event sales or luxury hospitality sales roles.
- Strong background in outside catering for social events, corporate functions, weddings, royal events, and high-end gatherings.
- Previous experience in luxury hotels, catering companies, or event management firms is preferred.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Valid Saudi driver’s license required.
- Strong market knowledge, including competitor landscape, economic trends, and customer preferences.
- Ability to generate business proactively, open new doors, and deliver measurable results.
- Collaborative and supportive approach to working with junior sales team members.
- High level of professionalism, cultural awareness, and client relationship skills.
- Familiarity with royal protocols, food defense, or royal guard procedures is an advantage but not mandatory.
