Job Description

Job Summary:

Lead and oversee the production operations for all transmitters’ production lines in Emerson SPARK manufacturing Hub. You will drive operational excellence, ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products, and mentor the instrument building team to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Ensure compliance with all Emerson HSE policies and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supervise and report safety issues, lead by example in safe work practices, and participate in resolving hazards or incidents through corrective action.
  • Lead, coach, and develop instrument builders.
  • Conduct Daily Toolbox Talks with the production team to ensure HSE compliance and efficient production.
  • Collaborate closely with the planning team to meet build plans and capacity goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, implementing process enhancements, and promoting a culture of operational excellence.
  • Promote training in manufacturing procedures, safety procedures, and lean practices, and ensure training records are maintained.
  • Maintain daily 5S+1 housekeeping standards by ensuring workstations are organized, clean, and optimized for safety and efficiency.
  • Analyze root causes of defects and drive continuous improvements.
  • Ensure weekly preventive maintenance on production line equipment.
  • Ensure continuous operation of production lines by troubleshooting issues promptly and reporting equipment failures to minimize downtime.
  • Manage control to meet production schedules and ensure level loading for all lines to achieve timely completion.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly adjusted and aligned to meet specifications.
  • Enforce quality standards and key metrics such as cycle time, scraps, and defect rate.
  • Participate in review meetings by sharing metrics and collaborating on corrective actions.
  • Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by your line manager.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Associated (Diploma) degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Industrial, or related engineering fields.
  • Experience in supervisory or leadership roles within manufacturing or assembly environments.
  • Proficiency with lean tools, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality management systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Practical problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, multitasking approach ensuring high productivity and smooth operations.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience in instrument manufacturing, with knowledge of calibration processes, testing protocols, and instrumentation compliance, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
