JOB DESCRIPTION
The operator position performs all tasks on the production line under the supervision of skilled operators and Team Leaders.
Production process – Spoolable composite line pipe (RTP) and (RTR) filament winding.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY
- Assist in machine set up as per production process run sheets.
- Load and unload raw materials during preparation and production process.
- Assist resin mixing in accordance to the procedures and maintain resin levels in baths.
- Perform visual and manual measurement inspections and record results. Alert Team Leader to defects that are outside acceptable limits.
- Clean and prepare ovens after every run.
- Operate equipment that cuts, grinds, bevels, and tests fiberglass pipes to finished product.
- Mix various adhesive, resins, coating, and painting compounds used in the finishing and/or assembly process.
- Cut parts to be assembled.
- Fit, sand, assemble and bond parts into assemblies to complete customer orders.
- Maintain and record specified tolerance/dimensions as required on the manufacturing and inspection reports for accurate inventory management.
- Operate process related machines, pallet truck, and forklift.
- Work in extreme temperatures and perform other duties as assigned by skilled operators and/or team leaders.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Proficient in English; Arabic speaking is an added advantage.
- High school or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a plant or manufacturing facility preferred.
- Dexterity required for operating machinery and computer.
- Teamwork – detail-oriented and organized.
- Forklift driving experience preferred.
- Practice good housekeeping by maintaining a clean work environment.

- Accurately use measuring tape and thickness gauge.

- Require working in shifts; conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment (indoor and outdoor).
- Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products; manufacturing process demands standing for long hours.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Training, Special Knowledge or Language Skills
- High school or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in production units.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Practice good housekeeping by maintaining a clean work area.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and work in a standing position the entire shift.
