Job description

The Product Design Lead is responsible for defining and driving Gathern’s overall product design vision and strategy across all digital platforms.

This role ensures that every interaction from mobile app to web delivers a seamless, intuitive, and delightful experience for users (both hosts and guests).

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain design systems, UI libraries, component libraries and design guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability of the experiences.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Data/Analytics, Growth & Marketing to identify opportunities, align on roadmaps, define features and design user flows / interactions.
• Drive user‑centric design: conduct user research, usability testing, gather insights and translate them into design decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Deliver wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity UI designs; iterate based on feedback, data and testing insights.
• Monitor product metrics related to UX and design (conversion, retention, engagement, usability) and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in product design, industrial design, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of principles of design.
• Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other similar.
• 7+ years of experience in product design (UX/UI).
• At least 2+ years in a leadership role (mentoring designers, shaping design team culture, owning design strategy).
