Job Summary
Process Equipment Supervisor leads the maintenance, reliability and technical performance of pharmaceutical process and packaging equipment, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operation of assigned production lines. The role is central to achieving production targets with high equipment availability while fully adhering to GMP, EHS and quality standards, and developing a multi‑skilled technical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a multi‑skilled maintenance team (technicians and senior technicians) to achieve target volumes and line efficiencies in compliance with EHS and GMP/Quality SOPs.
- Oversee and engage in day‑to‑day routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment to ensure adherence to daily production schedules.
- Participate in new equipment lifecycle (specification setting, FAT/SAT, technical handover, commissioning and training) and manage advanced serialization and aggregation systems configuration and troubleshooting.
- Develop, document and execute maintenance plans and SOPs, including risk‑based and preventive maintenance, CDA reviews, PM plans, and effective spare parts and GxP inventory management.
- Supervise and perform breakdown maintenance, ensure proper use and replacement of spares and lubricants, investigate root causes using structured problem‑solving tools, and apply engineering KPIs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure EHS‑compliant technical supervision during all maintenance activities (including LOTO/PTW), accurate maintenance reporting and handover of equipment, and effective use of QMS and ERP/Maintenance systems with appropriate risk escalation.
- Train technical staff on GMP care points (especially contamination and cross‑contamination prevention) and contribute to new product introduction, supply chain, marketing and technical development projects across the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.S./High Institute degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics or Electrical engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/packaging industry, including at least 5 years hands‑on maintenance and 2 years supervising technical teams in pharmaceutical/FMCG production.
- Proven strong supervisory capabilities managing multi‑skilled teams with clear potential and progression toward a managerial role.
- Demonstrated competence in maintaining pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment across mechanical, electrical, electronic control, hydraulics, and data management aspects.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with very good written and verbal English.
- Practical experience using CMMS/ERP maintenance and purchasing modules.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools and advanced use of Excel.
