Job description

CMA CGM, Saudi Arabia, is staffed with knowledgeable and motivated industry professionals who work closely with its customers to provide them with the best possible service and high-quality transport of their cargo. As a result of expanding our organization, we are currently looking for a Port Operations Officer to join our fast-growing and challenging organization.

Position: Port Operations Officer

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend the vessels at port
  • Ensure full compliance to statutory formalities and declarations
  • Facilitating paperwork, customs, quarantine, immigration requirements and approvals on the arrival and departure of the ship in port
  • Arranging Port Authorities approvals for special assistance required by the vessel command i.e immobilization approval for main engine.
  • Coordinate with Stevedore Planning team to monitor vessel’s cargo operations.
  • Coordinating with Ops Team for submitting of all special cargo docs i.e. Dangerous Goods Manifest, Reefer Manifest, OOG Manifest etc.
  • Coordinating with Ship Chandler for delivery of goods on board.
  • Arranging all immigration / formalities if any sick crew on board need medical assistance.
  • Arranging immigration, documentation, Transportation for sign on and sign off crews.
  • Arranging Customs Approval to discharge and load Seals Equipment’s /Ship Spares / BL Blank Form goods on board.
  • Checking the Reefer Reports on board and arranging Reefer technician on board for repairing of the container.
  • Arranging completion certificate from the stevedore.
  • Arranging all documents i.e. Ship Certificates, dep crew list, Ministry of health declarations form and upload in the Fasah.
  • Coordinate with Port Harbor Master through Fasah for the approval of Port Clearance.
  • Arranging the Port Clearance and submit to vessel command, Coast guard.
  • Weekly, Monthly reports to Operations Manager.
Requirements
  • University degree in Supply Chain Management or any relevant field.
  • 2 -5 Years experience / relevant experience in the Shipping line industry.
  • Attention to details, highly organized and committed.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Multi-tasker who works well in fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good computer, software, and IT applications skills
