Job summary

A leading construction company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a PMO Director to establish project management standards, oversee project execution, and manage PMO staff. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning skills, and proficiency in project management tools like Primavera and Unifier. The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering or an MBA and a minimum of 10 years in project management, including 5 years in a PMO leadership role.

Qualifications

  • Preferably certified in PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or OPM3.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Overview

The PMO Director will lead and develop the Project Management Office to ensure standardized methodologies, efficient project execution, and alignment with strategic objectives while controlling cost, quality, and timelines. Provides strategic reports, drives digital transformation, and oversees PMO teams to ensure performance and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
  • Establishes and implements project management frameworks, standards, policies, and best practices (PMI, PRINCE2, OPM3).
  • Oversees planning, execution, monitoring, and performance reporting of projects.
  • Coordinates with project managers and departments to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Monitors KPIs, provides recommendations, and supports strategic decision-making.
  • Manages and develops PMO staff, ensuring training and performance evaluation.
  • Implements digital solutions (Primavera, Unifier, CostOS, BIM, ERP) and drives continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA, or equivalent.
  • Preferably certified in PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or OPM3.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, including 5 in a PMO leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Primavera Cloud, Unifier, and other project management tools.
  • Excellent communication in Arabic and English, with ability to work under pressure.
