An established Global Italian Restaurant Group is preparing for the opening of its concept in Riyadh and is seeking a Pastry Junior Sous Chef to support the pastry leadership team. This role is suited to a technically strong pastry professional with a solid grounding in Italian pastry traditions and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach. The venue operates to classic Italian standards, with a strong emphasis on consistency, presentation, and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Pastry Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and service execution
  • Prepare and execute Italian pastry items in line with established recipes and brand standards
  • Oversee mise-en-place, production schedules, and quality control within the pastry section
  • Ensure all desserts meet consistency, portioning, and presentation requirements
  • Assist with training and supervising commis and junior pastry staff
  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards
  • Contribute to stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
  • Support pre-opening preparation and ongoing operational excellence
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a professional pastry kitchen, ideally within Italian or European cuisine
  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or equivalent role preferred
  • Strong technical pastry skills with attention to detail and structure
  • Experience in high-volume or premium dining environments advantageous
  • Good English skills
  • Knowledge of international food safety and hygiene standards
  • Calm, organised, and able to perform under pressure
  • Candidates must be available to start 1 February 2026 (or shortly thereafter)
