Job description
Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Monitoring Lead / SME to design, manage, and evolve our enterprise monitoring strategy using OpenText Tools (OBM, APM, SiteScope, OO & NNMi), Dynatrace, and SolarWinds. The candidate will be responsible for driving observability practices, managing a monitoring team, and ensuring high service availability for critical business applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the enterprise monitoring and observability strategy.
  • Lead and mentor L1/L2 and mid-level support teams.
  • Oversee monitoring design, integrations, and tool enhancements across OBM, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and application teams to implement full-stack observability solutions.
  • Drive automation, self-healing, and AI/ML-based predictive monitoring initiatives.
  • Present monitoring health, trends, and improvements to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, SLAs, and audit requirements.
  • Plan capacity, scalability, and roadmap for monitoring tools and practices.
  • Expertise in designing and scaling monitoring with HP Sitescope across enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience in integrating HP Operations Orchestration (OO) with monitoring tools for end-to-end automation.
  • Ownership of HP Service Manager (SM) and Service Portal, ensuring process compliance, SLA adherence, and reporting to leadership.
Mandatory Skills Description
  • Expertise in OBM (event/incident correlation), Dynatrace (APM, RUM, synthetic monitoring), and SolarWinds (NPM, SAM, DB monitoring).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes – cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), on-prem, hybrid infrastructures.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience with observability practices – logs, metrics, traces, distributed monitoring.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience: 7+ years in IT monitoring/observability, with at least 2‑3 years in a leadership role.
