Job Introduction

We are hiring a Material Submittal Officer for a well-established wood factory and joinery setup supporting high-quality interior fit-out and joinery projects. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in material technical submittals (MTS), consultant approvals, and coordination with suppliers, factory teams, and site teams. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that all materials used in production and installation fully comply with project specifications and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify material requirements related to wood, joinery, hardware, finishes, and accessories.
  • Prepare, compile, and submit Material Technical Submittals (MTS) for consultant and client approvals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to obtain technical data sheets, certificates, samples, mock‑ups, and compliance documents.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Material Submittal Log (MSL) and related tracking records.
  • Follow up on submitted materials and manage consultant/client comments, revisions, and resubmissions.
  • Ensure all materials meet project standards, including fire ratings, sustainability requirements, veneer and finish specifications, and LEED requirements (where applicable).
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to confirm that only approved materials are released for ordering.
  • Liaise with factory production and site teams to ensure materials used strictly match approved submittals.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in material submittals within wood factories, joinery, interior fit‑out, or contracting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of wood materials, veneers, finishes, hardware, and joinery systems.
  • Solid understanding of consultant approval workflows and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PDF editing tools.
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and follow‑up skills with attention to detail.
