Job description

Job Summary:
KPMG is seeking a high-performing Solution Sales Specialist Microsoft Cybersecurity to join its Microsoft Alliance team. In this role, you will lead the cybersecurity sales strategy and execution, working closely with Microsoft and internal KPMG teams to help clients secure their digital estate, modernize their security posture, and comply with evolving regulatory demands.
You'll play a critical role in driving cybersecurity transformation for enterprise and government clients using Microsoft’s comprehensive security, compliance, and identity platforms including Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and Entra.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Alliance-Based Selling: Drive joint go-to-market opportunities with Microsoft, focusing on Security, Compliance, and Identity (SCI) solutions across industries.
  2. Client Engagement: Identify and shape client needs across threat protection, cloud security, zero trust, and regulatory compliance, translating them into actionable Azure-based security solutions.
  3. Solution Strategy: Collaborate with KPMG’s cyber practice and Microsoft Cloud Solution Architects to craft integrated, risk-informed solutions that meet both business and compliance needs.
  4. Thought Leadership: Act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor in client discussions, events, and industry roundtables, bringing KPMG’s and Microsoft’s vision of secure digital transformation to life.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Microsoft Certifications in Security, Compliance & Identity (e.g., SC-900, SC-100, AZ-500) are a plus.
  2. Strong understanding of Microsoft’s security solutions: Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel SIEM, Entra (IAM), and Purview (Compliance & DLP).
  3. Proven success in consultative sales and managing long-cycle enterprise deals.
  4. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across business and IT stakeholders.
  5. Experience working within an alliance or partner ecosystem (ideally with Microsoft) is a plus.
  6. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, and enterprise technology sales.

  1. Cybersecurity Consultative Selling: Ability to align client risks and goals with Microsoft security solutions.
  2. Executive Engagement: Comfort addressing CISOs, risk officers, and senior stakeholders.
  3. Strategic Risk Thinking: Understanding how cybersecurity impacts business resilience and compliance.
  4. Alliance & Partner Collaboration: Working effectively within KPMG-Microsoft joint go-to-market frameworks.
  5. Communication & Influence: Simplifying complex security topics into persuasive business language.
  6. Zero Trust & Identity Frameworks: Familiarity with identity security, conditional access, and segmentation strategies.
  7. Security Solutioning: Ability to co-create technical security architectures with delivery teams and Microsoft CSAs.
  8. Cloud Security & Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of security governance, regulatory frameworks, and cloud-native controls.
  9. A plus: A28Co-Sell Experience with Microsoft: Familiarity with Microsoft’s security sales plays, programs (e.g., MCPP), and co-selling process.
