Job Purpose
To efficiently manage the coordination of logistics operations, including import/export, customs clearance, transportation, and inventory handling, in compliance with Saudi regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate local and international inbound/outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with Saudi Customs, FASAH platform, and logistics providers for smooth clearance processes.
- Manage product registration and documentation through SABER, SFDA, and other relevant government platforms.
- Plan transportation schedules and delivery routes in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Monitor warehouse stock levels and ensure proper storage and movement of goods.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulatory requirements including SASO, ZATCA, and MoCI.
- Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, and Warehouse departments to fulfill operational needs.
- Generate logistics reports and suggest process improvements where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving documentation.
- Prepare logistics cost analysis and ensure optimization of freight and transportation expenses.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and clearing agents for timely movement of shipments.
- Ensure proper application of Incoterms in all shipping documents and contracts.
- Monitor and improve delivery performance KPIs (on-time delivery, order accuracy, etc.).
- Follow up on damage claims, shortages, or returns with suppliers or couriers.
- Coordinate reverse logistics processes and returns handling.
- Track international shipments and communicate ETAs with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for logistics operations and ensure compliance.
- Support internal and external audits related to supply chain and logistics activities.
- Collaborate with finance team to verify freight invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in Saudi import/export regulations and ensure company compliance.
- Participate in supply chain improvement projects and digitalization initiatives.
- Provide training to junior logistics coordinators or warehouse staff when needed.
Requirements
- Saudi National (Mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in logistics operations within Saudi Arabia.
- Strong understanding of government systems like FASAH, SABER, and SFDA.
- Good command of English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CILT, APICS, CSCP, or equivalent.
- Experience in logistics for manufacturing or distribution companies operating in Saudi Arabia.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, international trade practices, and vendor negotiation.
