Company Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor to join our finance team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. As an Income Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, particularly in revenue-related transactions. This position requires a meticulous approach to auditing and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Balance and audit all Front Office postings and settlements
- Verify and monitor all hotel reports and night audit reports
- Ensure all departments have posted their revenues accurately
- Manage month-end deadlines and schedules efficiently
- Handle credit card charge backs and respond to credit card inquiries
- Reconcile credit card commissions on a daily basis
- Balance food and beverage point of sale systems with the Property Management System
- Monitor and review front office rebates, paid outs, and miscellaneous charges
- Prepare and distribute daily operational reports to key stakeholders
- Assist with month-end closing and analysis of bank accounts
- Prepare month-end income journal entries according to company policies
- Conduct surprise float counts in collaboration with the General Cashier
- Report discrepancies or issues to the Audit Supervisor or Accountant promptly
- Provide support in various accounting tasks as required by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in income auditing or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in financial management software, including Sun System, Opera, Micros, and Vision
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing procedures, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
- Effective communication skills to interact with various departments and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in financial practices
- Familiarity with hospitality industry financial practices and regulations
- Adaptability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Additional Information
- Experience is an asset
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
