Job summary

A prominent healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Consultant to perform clinical duties, assess patients, and develop care plans. The ideal candidate will have a Board/ Fellowship in Family Medicine and relevant licenses for practice. Responsibilities include ensuring timely patient care and documentation, educating patients and their families, and contributing to departmental meetings. Applicants must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to clearly communicate with patients and their families, physicians and non-medical staff.
  • Microsoft computer skills.
  • Should have good organization skills and be able to work in high stress situations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs clinical duties as per assigned clinical privileges.
  • Assesses patients thoroughly and documents in medical records.
  • Develops and documents a care plan using an evidence-based approach.
  • Ensures timely implementation of patient care plans.
  • Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients.
  • Develops discharge plans and involves services as needed.
  • Assesses inpatients daily and ensures proper documentation.
  • Responds to medical consultations timely.
  • Documents medical interventions promptly.
  • Follows documentation standards.
  • Completes and authenticates discharge summaries.
  • Attends and contributes to meetings for efficiency improvement.
  • Writes medical reports in a timely manner.
  • Contributes to teaching activities as required.
  • Educates patients about health conditions and treatments.
  • Performs other assigned duties.
