RESPONSIBILITIES

Typical responsibilities

1. HSE Planning and Implementation :
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE plans, procedures, and standards for project operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with Aramco's HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Hazard Identification and Control :
  • Identify potential hazards and develop controls to mitigate risks in project operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE standards and procedures (as applicable)
3. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs :
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Aramco's HSE policies and procedures (in particular, Aramco's Safety Management System SMS)
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
4. Training and Awareness :
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for project personnel (as applicable)
  • Promote HSE awareness and culture among project teams.
5. Incident Investigation and Reporting :
  • Investigate HSE incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Report incidents and near-misses to management and regulatory bodies as required.
6. Performance Monitoring and Improvement :
  • Monitor HSE performance and develop metrics to measure HSE effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance HSE performance.

Expected :

  • Experience in SMS Awareness, Process Safety, and PMT Experience
  • ONC / HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSE or related industry
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma (essential)

Knowledge, skills and experience :

  • 5+ years in a technical role, or association with HSE role in another industry.
  • HSE Engineer experience with project / contract experience in O&G or other industry
  • Excellent working knowledge with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Effective / competent MS Office Suite User
  • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
