A global competition organization is seeking a strategic Head of Sponsorships & Global Partnerships based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on driving sponsorship acquisition for competitions across the GCC, developing tailored sponsorship strategies, and building partnerships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in sponsorship sales within the GCC, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English, with Arabic highly preferred. A strong network and understanding of Vision 2030 agendas are essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sponsorship sales, fundraising, or strategic partnerships in the GCC.
  • Strong network within Saudi Arabia and GCC foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
  • Deep understanding of Vision 2030 and GCC national agendas, especially in education, youth, and innovation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to design compelling sponsorship proposals, ROI reports, and executive-level presentations.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sponsorship strategy tailored to GCC markets.
  • Design high-value sponsorship packages aligned with CSR, ESG, and Vision 2030 initiatives.
  • Identify and prioritize potential sponsors across the GCC.
  • Build relationships with ministries, sovereign funds, foundations, and major corporations.
  • Negotiate multi-year sponsorship agreements.
  • Ensure all sponsor deliverables are achieved.
  • Track sponsorship pipeline and commitments.
  • Provide ROI reports and impact data to sponsors.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic Head of Sponsorships & Global Partnerships to drive sponsorship acquisition for the Brilliant Global Competition across the GCC. Based in Riyadh, this role will secure platinum-level sponsors, government partnerships, and foundation support to fund national competitions across the region and the Global Finals in Washington, D.C.

About Brilliant Global Competitions

Brilliant Global Competitions are international STEM tournaments that inspire middle and high school students to design and prototype innovative solutions to real-world problems utilizing technology and multidisciplinary engineering.

Each year features a unique theme, with national competitions held in 6+ participating countries and global finalists traveling to Washington, D.C. for a world-class showcase.

National Winners gain exclusive access to NASA Space Camp, Harvard, and MIT tour, making this one of the most impactful global youth innovation platforms.

Responsibilities
Sponsorship Strategy (GCC Focus)
  • Develop and execute a sponsorship strategy tailored to GCC markets.
  • Design high-value sponsorship packages (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Custom) aligned with CSR, ESG, and Vision 2030 initiatives.
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential sponsors in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Partnership Development
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with ministries, sovereign funds, foundations, and major corporations across the GCC.
  • Negotiate multi-year sponsorship agreements to support national competitions and the global finals.
  • Position sponsors as global champions of education, STEM, innovation, and youth empowerment.
Program Integration
  • Ensure all sponsor deliverables are achieved, including branding, recognition, and engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and event teams to maximize sponsor visibility nationally and globally.
Fundraising & Reporting
  • Deliver on annual sponsorship revenue targets (e.g., $1.5M+ annually through platinum sponsorships in GCC).
  • Track sponsorship pipeline, commitments, and renewals.
  • Provide sponsors with ROI reports, impact data, and success stories to ensure renewal and long-term support.
Required Skills & Experience
