Job Description
Rixos Obhur Jeddah is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of People & Culture to lead the full People & Culture strategy for the property. This role is responsible for shaping a high‑performance culture, driving team member engagement, overseeing recruitment, people development, compensation, P&C operations, and ensuring full compliance with Saudi labour laws and corporate standards. The Director of People & Culture will act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and ExCom team, ensuring that all People & Culture initiatives support the resort’s operational goals, guest experience, and brand values.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the People & Culture strategy aligned with the hotel’s vision, operational needs, and brand standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing decisions on talent, structure, and organisational culture.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the P&C team to deliver exceptional support and service to all colleagues.
- Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment and selection processes to attract top talent locally and internationally.
- Ensure nationalisation targets are met in alignment with Saudi government regulations (Saudisation).
- Lead onboarding and orientation processes that support smooth integration and brand immersion.
- Champion a culture of collaboration, respect, and high performance.
- Drive engagement initiatives, recognition programmes, and communication activities.
- Conduct regular engagement surveys and follow‑up action plans.
- Oversee the people development framework, ensuring all team members receive continuous training aligned with brand standards and compliance requirements.
- Implement people development plans, succession planning, and leadership development programmes.
- Oversee payroll accuracy, HRIS data integrity, and personnel administration.
- Ensure competitive compensation practices aligned with brand and market benchmarks.
- Manage annual performance review cycles and salary review processes.
- Ensure full compliance with Saudi Labour Law and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage team members’ relations with fairness, confidentiality, and transparency.
- Lead disciplinary processes, investigations, and grievance management.
- Maintain accurate documentation, internal audits, and risk management processes.
- Collaborate with the HSE and operational teams to ensure colleague safety, well‑being and compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Promote well‑being programmes and initiatives that support a healthy work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of HR leadership experience, ideally within luxury hospitality or a large‑scale resort environment.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Labour Law, government regulations, and HR best practices.
- Proven experience driving Saudisation and working with government portals (Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, Mudad, HRDF, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, people‑centric mindset, and a hands‑on operational approach.
- As per government regulations, this position requires a Saudi National (Local National) candidate.
- Fluency in English required.
