Industrial Complex, Riyadh
The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.
Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar’s facilities.
The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.
Job Purpose
Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative products. Contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to testing and final implementation. Create solutions that meet market demands, while ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
Key Accountability Areas
Technical Benchmarking and Concept Development:
- Conduct technical benchmarking of competitor products and identify product features/specifications.
- Develop concepts for components, new products, or improvements in existing components/products.
Proposal Development and Design Input:
- Create proposals, mockup samples for approvals, and prepare Design Input vs. Output documentation.
Proto Verification and Project Planning:
- Review Proto Verification Reports (PVR) and prepare project charters and product development plans.
Standard Adherence and Material Selection:
- Monitor adherence to standards and report.
- Select materials and develop different parts required in new product development.
Feasibility Checking and 3D Modeling:
- Check manufacturing feasibility by considering mold design and progressive die layout.
- Perform detailed 3D modeling and 2D drawings in SAP ECTR.
BOM Creation and Release:
- Create Bills of Materials (BOM), conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, and ensure conformance of design outputs to meet design inputs.
- Release models/drawings for manufacturing, both in-house and for bought-out items.
DFM/MFA Review and Coordination:
- Review Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Mold Flow Analysis (MFA) at different design and development stages.
- Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) for machine/tool ordering and ensure availability of related documents.
Verification, Validation, and Production Trials:
- Conduct design verification and validation, including field trials.
- Oversee pilot lot production and assembly trial reports.
Life Cycle Management and Safety Compliance:
- Manage the life cycle of existing products, implement change management, and undertake associated actions.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work atmosphere, maintain 6S in the work area, and follow good safety and housekeeping practices in the Design Office and Stores.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Prepare and maintain documents as per New Product Development (NPD) stage gate deliverables, keeping records in designated places.

- Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
- Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.
Delivery:
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report detailing deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving:
- Resolve any related problems and escalate any complex operational issues.
Business Process Improvements:
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Health, Safety and Environment:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Academic Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
