Job Description
Validation of Construction Drawings
- Review and validate depot equipment construction and installation drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and international railway standards.
- Coordinate with design teams and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or technical issues in the drawings.
- Maintain proper documentation and updates of depot equipment drawings for future reference.
Site Supervision
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of monorail depot equipment , including :
Automatic Train Wash Machines
- Lifting Jacks and Bogie Drop Systems
- Overhead Cranes and Hoists
- Wheel Lathes and Underfloor Wheel Profiling Machines
- Inspection Pits and Maintenance Platforms
- Compressed Air and Power Supply Systems
- Ensure that installation is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with quality control and operational standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams.
Installation, Testing & Commissioning (T&C)
- Supervise the installation and functional validation of depot equipment.
- Ensure proper integration of depot systems with rolling stock, SCADA, and maintenance management systems (CMMS / ERP).
- Develop and implement testing procedures for each depot system to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.
- Lead commissioning activities to validate system functionality, ensuring full compliance with railway depot regulations and best practices.
Integration
- Ensure seamless integration of depot equipment with train operations, maintenance workflows, and depot management systems.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including OEM suppliers, rolling stock teams, and safety inspectors.
- Monitor and evaluate the long-term performance, maintainability, and reliability of depot equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Railway Engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in rail depot equipment engineering , preferably in metro, monorail, or railway projects.
- Strong knowledge of rail depot systems, maintenance equipment, and industrial automation.
- Experience in site supervision, testing, and commissioning of depot machinery and support systems.
- Good understanding of railway safety regulations (NFPA 130, EN 50126, EN 14033, ISO 55000).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
