The Department of Radiology at our client hospital in Jeddah, has 6 radiologists on staff. Services include General Radiography (x-ray), CT/MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography and Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD). The hospital is one of the few hospitals in the Kingdom that performs interventional examinations like angiography with coiling, stenting and embolization.
The Radiology Department is part of the Saudi Board joint program in the western region. The department receive rotating residents from different programs who gain experience in different subspecialty sections.
The physicians are frequent visitors to other international centres and several presentations are given annually at centres within the city, the country and in the Gulf Region. International meetings are attended by the physician for continuous medical education accreditation and staff participation in local and internationally organized meetings and symposiums is strongly encouraged.
On average, the department does approximately 6,000 examinations per month in Radiology and about 700 are CT cases.
