Overview

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities to ensure that projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and according to design specifications and quality standards. The role includes coordinating with contractors, supervising workers, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with construction plans, safety regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Monitor work progress, productivity, and quality, and report deviations or delays to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
• Enforce site safety rules and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure proper documentation of safety practices.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and construction resources.
• Maintain daily site logs, progress reports, and records of manpower and materials.
• Assist in resolving site issues and technical challenges as they arise.
• Support handover and commissioning activities upon project completion.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Vocational graduates or licensed foremen with extensive experience may also be considered.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction supervision or related field.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
