Job Description

Raffles & Fairmont the Red Sea is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Safety Officer to join our team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. As the Cluster Safety Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols across multiple properties, ensuring a safe environment for our guests and staff.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs for all properties within the cluster
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Lead safety training sessions for employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety awareness
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence
  • Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety protocols into daily operations
  • Prepare and maintain safety-related documentation, including reports, policies, and procedures
  • Manage emergency response planning and coordinate drills across all properties
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging safety technologies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • In-depth knowledge of international safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001)
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is highly desirable
  • Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian safety regulations and standards is advantageous
  • Proven expertise in hospitality industry safety protocols
  • Strong background in emergency response planning and environmental health and safety
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Willingness to travel between properties within the cluster
