Clinical Psychologist

Location: Jeddah – Saudi Arabia
Employment Type: Full-time

Primary Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines of the International Medical Center (Operator).
  • Comply with all Operator policies, procedures, bylaws, strategic plans, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines.
  • Support organizational performance improvement priorities and recommend actions to enhance systems, structures, and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
  • Participate in departmental administrative tasks such as auditing and committee work.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, local agencies, vendors, patients, and families.
  • Collect data and participate in quality improvement studies.
  • Provide inpatient care and manage outpatient clinics independently in the fields of psychology and psychotherapy.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within granted privileges based on training and experience.
  • Offer subspecialty consultations to physicians across different specialties.
  • Stay current with medical literature and actively participate in continuing medical education programs and conferences.
  • Design and implement psychotherapeutic rehabilitation programs to:
    • Help patients manage stress, crises, and behavioral challenges.
    • Enhance motivation, self-concept, and interpersonal relationships.
    • Support recovery from brain injuries and remediate cognitive/behavioral deficits.
    • Prepare patients for rehabilitation programs with PT, OT, SLP, and other specialists.
    • Counsel families on patient deficits, recovery processes, and rehabilitation timelines.
    • Provide crisis intervention for patients and families adapting to disabling conditions.
  • Furnish psychological reports including behavioral observations, therapeutic procedures, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Conduct approved psychological tests (e.g., personality assessments, psycho-evaluations).
  • Lead group therapy sessions and patient activities inside and outside the hospital.
  • Ensure patient privacy, confidentiality, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Implement and review emergency protocols regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and alignment with Saudi culture and traditions.
  • Uphold hospital code of conduct and patient/family rights standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational & Professional Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Psychology from an accredited university with postgraduate internship.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar field.
  • Certification: Not required.
  • Licensing: Valid SCHS professional classification and Ministry of Health (MoH) license to practice.
