Civil Maintenance Supervisor (Oil & Gas)
Job Specific Accountabilities
General Maintenance Supervision
- Supervises the service, repair and maintenance activities of civil and MEP works such as carpentry to ensure that maintenance is carried out in accordance with company standards, proper engineering and technical standards, and safety and environmental requirements.
- Reviews and allocates all daily general maintenance work orders received from Service Stations and offices to the technicians; coordinates with Maintenance Planning for scheduling and implementation of required repair and maintenance works.
- Works to a set schedule with established priorities; provides on‑site supervision to technicians and conducts inspections to monitor progress and completions; utilizes technical expertise to troubleshoot day‑to‑day problems.
- Inspects accidents at service stations to prepare the job scope, estimate costs, and process a work order for in‑house repair or third‑party contractors.
- Handles administrative issues related to PM & CM works, such as preparing and generating Work Orders, SPOs, SWOs; initiates invoices after completion of maintenance works.
- Coordinates with Service Station Supervisors and Maintenance team electrical/mechanical supervisors on facility status, preventive and repair work scheduling, processing of work orders and continuous improvement reporting.
- Evaluates man‑hours and costs on individual, maintenance and modification works to ensure optimum utilization of manpower and materials in scheduled maintenance programs.
- Assists in establishing methods, controls and standards for maintenance work execution.
- Makes recommendations to the Maintenance Team Leader on any modifications or improvements required for new constructions, underground tank or pipeline replacements, basic plot plan development, and layouts.
- Prepares total actual cost of works, including manpower, equipment, spare parts, daily work activities, overtime of craft workers, monthly work‑order reports, and submits to the Maintenance Planning Section.
Contract Management
- Prepares scope of work, bill of materials, and cost estimation for all types of civil works at service stations and other facilities performed by in‑house personnel and third‑party contractors.
- Controls and monitors third‑party contractors in contract execution and price agreements.
- Conducts inspections to ensure safety and quality meet stringent ADNOC standards.
- Prepares annual contractor evaluation reports.
New Projects
- Supports the Team Leader in New Project and modification proposals review, pre‑commissioning/commissioning activities, and conducts HAZOP, HSEIA, HAZID, and risk assessments as required.
Other
- Coordinates with HSE, instructs and trains technicians, ensuring work is carried out safely with minimal risk.

- Provides input for the preparation of Department/Section budgets and assists in the implementation of approved budgets and work plans to deliver objectives.
- Investigates and highlights significant variances to support performance and cost control.

- Implements approved Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support work program execution in line with company and international standards.
- Complies with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

- Contributes to achieving approved performance objectives for the Department/Section in line with the company performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Designs and implements new tools and techniques to improve quality and operational efficiency.
- Identifies internal process improvements following best practices to enhance efficiency in line with ISO standards and defines intelligent solutions for functional issues.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Complies with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, legislation, and sustainability guidelines per international standards, best practices, and the company Code of Practices.
- Participates in emergency response duties as a team member.
Reports
- Provides inputs for preparation of Section MIS and progress reports for company management.
Communications & Working Relationships
- Internal: HSE, Engineering, Procurement departments; Service Stations, military facilities, etc.; Team Leader and other department employees.
- External: Contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum Qualification: Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills: 10 years of experience in civil and general maintenance within the oil and gas industry.
- CMMS proficiency.
- Tender management, contract management & maintenance cost optimization.
