Job description
Job Objective:

To supervise all daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The role also contributes to the preparation of periodic financial reports in compliance with the requirements of a listed company and the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial and Accounting Supervision:
  • Manage and close monthly and annual accounts accurately and on time.
  • Review and verify journal entries, expenses, and revenues before approval.
  • Prepare periodic and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring reconciliation between General Ledger and Sub-Ledger balances.
  • Oversee the implementation of accounting policies and procedures approved by the Finance Department.
Compliance with Standards and Regulations:
  • Apply IFRS accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the regulations of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) and the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
  • Supervise the preparation of Zakat, Withholding Tax, and Value-Added Tax (VAT) filings.
Team Supervision:
  • Lead and guide the accounting team, assigning daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Train team members on updated accounting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the Finance Department’s performance.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare the required monthly financial reports.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor actual vs. planned variances.
  • Analyze cost of sales, gross margins, and inventory movements.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Must have an IFRS certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidated financial statement preparation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the retail sector.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Professional certification is an added advantage.
