TheArRjumProjectcomprisesa green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village. The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north‑east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km south of AlMouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah – Riyadh highway.

Job Summary:

The Accommodation Facility (Camp) Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations and performance of the Accommodation Facility through effective management of the contracted accommodation services provider. This role ensures that all accommodation, catering, cleaning, maintenance, and essential services are delivered to the required quality, hygiene, safety, and service standards.

The Accommodation Facility (Camp) Manager acts as the Bechtel representative within the facility; conducting daily inspections, monitoring contractual performance, addressing issues proactively, and ensuring the contractor maintains the facility to a standard that minimises guest complaints, supports workforce wellbeing, and enables smooth project operations.

The position requires residence in the Project accommodation facility (camp) in Saudi Arabia.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Managing and supervising the Accommodation Services Contract to ensure compliance with scope, KPIs, service levels, and contractual obligations.
  • Conducting daily walk‑throughs and inspections of accommodation blocks, dining halls, kitchens, recreation areas, and maintenance activities.
  • Reviewing contractor reports on maintenance, cleaning, catering, incidents, complaints, and preventive maintenance, and ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Ensuring the contractor maintains high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene, room readiness, and overall facility presentation.
  • Monitoring contractor performance trends and escalating recurring issues when required.
  • Leading regular contractor meetings to review operations, performance, and improvement actions.
  • Verifying that accommodation, housekeeping, laundry, catering, waste management, and recreation services meet required quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Overseeing food service operations to ensure compliance with food‑safety requirements (e.g., HACCP or national equivalent).
  • Ensuring daily meals are prepared and served to required quality, nutritional, and service standards.
  • Monitoring and addressing resident feedback, complaints, and satisfaction issues.
  • Overseeing facility maintenance and preventive maintenance programs to ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Coordinating with the contractor on repairs, shutdowns, hazard mitigation, and service continuity planning.
  • Tracking warranty issues associated with the facility and ensuring resolution.
  • Ensuring the contractor adheres to all project safety, environmental, and health requirements.
  • Conducting safety observations and participating in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and relevant audits.
  • Acting as the point of contact for accommodation‑related matters for internal teams including Security, Logistics, ES&H, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with Security on site access, emergency procedures, and facility security needs.
  • Working with Logistics to ensure appropriate transportation arrangements for residents as required.
  • Supporting crisis management and emergency response planning for the accommodation facility.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on facility conditions, contractor performance, risks, issues, and improvement actions.
  • Validating contractor data including headcounts, occupancy, meal counts, maintenance logs, and KPI submissions.
  • Contributing to historical records, continuous improvement initiatives, and lessons learned.
  • Supporting arrangements for overflow or external accommodation when required.
  • Representing the project during regulatory or third‑party inspections.
  • Ensuring all activities within the accommodation precinct align with project safety, environmental, and ethical requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8‑10 years of relevant experience or 12‑14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing accommodation, hospitality, hotel, camp, or village operations, ideally in large‑scale or remote project environments.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing outsourced accommodation or facility services contractors.
  • Strong understanding of catering, housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, maintenance, and essential services operations.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP or national equivalent).
  • Experience conducting inspections, managing service standards, and resolving operational issues.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven organisational capability with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.
  • Experience preparing reports, reviewing contractor KPIs, and validating operational data.
