Job Specification

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding the company’s market presence. This individual will identify, develop, and nurture strategic partnerships, foster client relationships, and implement innovative sales strategies to achieve organisational goals. The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated professional with a proven track record in sales and business growth.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitors, maintaining a pipeline in the CRM.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and market expansion goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, and customers.
  • Understand client needs, prepare and propose presentations of tailored solutions to align with their objectives, and build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure strategies align and customers are satisfied.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to expand your network and identify opportunities.
  • Assist local partner to solicit sales of new or additional services, including tender preparation and support.
  • Assist local partner to identify customers, drilling campaigns and other informational sources to further penetrate local market.
  • Be the Key Account Manager for the current client base.
  • Supply and discuss pricing with customers, supplying quotations where required, assisting with larger tenders.
  • Ensure monthly commercial administration and sales reporting is accurate and meets the company's standard.
  • Support and coordinate local marketing campaigns and customer events.
  • Gather and present local market data including key customer activity, contract awards and competitor activities.
  • Provide necessary input and support for and investment models and business cases as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a hands‑on customer facing or operational role and demonstrable ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of DNV2.7‑1, 2 & 3 and ISO 10855 standards relevant to Offshore Cargo Carrying Units.
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent computer skills i.e., high level of Excel and Word.
  • Proven track record in sales, business development or account management.
  • Successful track record of generating new accounts or growing existing accounts.
  • Strong communicator and influencer to facilitate growth.
  • Comfortable organising client meetings with a strong presence when presenting to clients.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with clients (both internal and external).
  • Willing to travel to regional locations.
  • Self‑starter with a proactive and results‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
HSE Responsibilities
