This opportunity will also expand our operations into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to support major government and private sector clients across aviation, infrastructure, construction, and large-scale capital development programs, reinforcing our long-term commitment to the region and our role in supporting visionary national transformation initiatives.

Overview

Dokainish & Company is seeking an experienced Aviation Engineer to support planning, design coordination, and compliance activities across airside and landside aviation infrastructure programs. This role will provide expertise in aviation systems, regulatory requirements, and airfield planning, with a focus on GACA standards, safety compliance, and obstacle limitations surface (OLS) assessments.

This is a full-time position, and the selected candidate must be based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, assessment, and design development of airside facilities including runways, taxiways, aprons, and aircraft stands.

  • Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with GACA, ICAO, and international aviation standards.

  • Conduct or support analysis of Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) and ensure proper safeguarding of aviation operations.

  • Evaluate apron layouts, aircraft parking configurations, and airside safety zones.

  • Coordinate with airport operators, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary design teams to address airside engineering requirements.

  • Participate in technical reviews, safety assessments, and operational feasibility studies.

  • Assist in developing aviation engineering reports, compliance statements, and technical recommendations.

  • Support project teams during construction oversight, commissioning, and operational readiness activities, when required.

Candidate Profile
  • Aviation-focused engineering professional with strong technical and regulatory understanding.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze technical constraints and provide clear engineering guidance.

  • Comfortable working in multidisciplinary environments and coordinating with regulators and airport operators.

  • Strong communicator capable of presenting technical findings to project teams and leadership.

  • Proactive, analytical, and committed to ensuring aviation safety and design compliance.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

  • 10+ years of experience in aviation engineering, airside systems, or airport infrastructure development.

  • Strong experience with GACA requirements, aviation regulations, and compliance frameworks.

  • Familiarity with obstacle limitation surfaces (OLS), apron planning, airfield geometry, and airside operational safety.

  • Must have full professional proficiency in the English language.

Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of ICAO Annexes, GACA regulations, airside planning standards, and airport design guidelines.

  • Proficiency with relevant aviation or engineering tools (AutoCAD, GIS, airfield planning software, or similar).

  • Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings, safety assessments, and compliance documentation.

  • Strong technical writing, analysis, and report development skills.

Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical or Civil Engineering.

  • Master’s degree or aviation-specific certifications are an advantage.

Location & Mobility
