Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough audiometric evaluations to assess hearing ability and diagnose auditory disorders.
- Administer advanced diagnostic procedures such as Otoacoustic emissions (OAE), auditory brainstem response (ABR), and tympanometry.
- Interpret test results and collaborate with medical professionals to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Recommend and fit hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and other hearing enhancement technologies.
- Provide comprehensive counseling and education to patients and their families on hearing health and communication strategies.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Stay abreast of advancements in audiology research, technology, and treatment modalities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventative measures if applicable.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collect and redistribute personal radiation dosimeter badges for record-keeping and explain their usage to radiation workers.
- Update all staff with their radiation dosimeter readings every 3 months.
- Keep records of all personnel radiation dosimeter readings and report any excess exposures.
- Ensure that each worker in radiation areas wears a personal dosimeter during work.
- Investigate accidents or incidents involving radiation exposure to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Audiology.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages.
- License for practice as per regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS / DHA), BLS.
- 3 – 5 Years’ experience in conducting audiological assessments and providing rehabilitation services.
