Role Purpose

The Head of Communications is responsible for defining and executing Schneider Electric’s integrated communications strategy across internal communications, external communications, media relations, executive positioning, and crisis management. This role owns the full communications ecosystem including strategy, agencies, budgets, channels, and governance. It serves as the primary communications advisor to the Country President and executive leadership team, ensuring Schneider Electric’s narrative, reputation, and leadership voice are clear, credible, and consistently delivered across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Communications Strategy, Governance and Budget
  • Define and lead an integrated communications strategy aligned with Schneider Electric global frameworks and local business priorities.
  • Own and manage the annual communications budget with clear accountability for spend, efficiency, and impact.
  • Establish governance, messaging frameworks, editorial planning, and approval processes across all communications activities.
Agency Management
  • Lead and manage the communications agency ecosystem including PR, media, content, events, and crisis agencies.
  • Define scopes of work, KPIs, performance reviews, and continuous optimization plans.
  • Ensure all agency outputs meet Schneider Electric brand, quality, and compliance standards.
Executive and Leadership Communications
  • Act as a trusted strategic communications advisor to the Country President and senior leadership team.
  • Develop executive communications including leadership narratives, speeches, talking points, interviews, op-eds, and town halls.
  • Ensure leadership messaging is aligned, authentic, and impactful across internal and external audiences.
Internal Communications
  • Lead internal communications that drive strategy understanding, engagement, and cultural alignment.
  • Support transformation, change, and growth initiatives through structured and proactive communications planning.
  • Oversee internal channels and leadership cascades to ensure clarity, consistency, and effectiveness.
External Communications and Media Relations
  • Own Schneider Electric’s external reputation and media narrative in Saudi Arabia.
  • Lead media relations strategy including proactive storytelling, thought leadership, and issues management.
  • Maintain strong, established relationships and direct contacts with key Saudi media outlets, editors, journalists, and opinion leaders.
  • Lead media-related events including press conferences, media roundtables, executive interviews, site visits, and major announcements.
  • Ensure all media engagements and events are tightly integrated with executive positioning and earned media outcomes.
Thought Leadership and Corporate Positioning
  • Position Schneider Electric as a trusted leader in sustainability, energy transition, and digital transformation in Saudi Arabia.
  • Drive thought leadership aligned with national priorities, Vision 2030, and Schneider Electric sustainability commitments.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sustainability, and Public Affairs teams to amplify reach and impact.
Crisis and Issues Communications
  • Own crisis communications planning and execution, acting as the central coordination point during reputational or operational issues.
  • Ensure readiness through playbooks, simulations, and clear escalation protocols.
Measurement and Performance
  • Define and track KPIs for internal and external communications effectiveness.
  • Measure media quality, sentiment, share of voice, leadership visibility, and engagement.
  • Use insights to continuously optimize strategy, execution, and investment.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience in corporate communications, PR, or strategic communications within complex or matrix organizations.
  • Proven experience managing communications budgets and agency partners.
  • Must have a strong track record in media relations in Saudi Arabia, with established media contacts and credibility in the local market.
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior executives and managing high‑profile media engagements.
  • Experience in energy, infrastructure, industrial, or technology sectors strongly preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editorial judgment, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English is a must.
