A well-established international school in Eastern Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Academic Director to lead its academic programmes.

This senior leadership role is ideal for an educator with a passion for excellence, strong organisational skills, and a proven record in driving high standards in teaching, learning, and student achievement.

Role Overview

The Academic Director holds full responsibility for all academic programmes, including curriculum, instruction, assessment, faculty development, and student performance. Reporting to the School Director and Principals, they ensure students and faculty are supported, challenged, and positioned for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum design, academic programmes, and assessment strategies.
• Mentor and coach faculty, overseeing professional development and performance.
• Monitor student achievement and implement improvement plans.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy and operational planning.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education.
• 5+ years teaching experience in reputable Primary / Secondary School
• 5+ years leadership experience (HOD or Head of School).
• Strong curriculum planning, faculty development, and academic supervision skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Experience in the Middle East preferred
• Not suitable for ESL / EAL Academic Directors
