Work Location: KSA > Jubail

An exciting opportunity is available for Reliability Superintendent located in Jubail.

Job Purpose:

Dedicated professional leading reliability and asset performance initiatives. His role will focus on enhancing plant performance, ensuring asset integrity, and implementing world‑class reliability and maintenance strategies. He shall oversee the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Asset Performance Management (APM) programs while leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies to optimize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and maximize plant availability.

Role responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage asset reliability and performance programs across the plants.
  • Develop and implement advanced maintenance strategies including RCM (Reliability‑Centered Maintenance), FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis), ACA (Asset Criticality Analysis).
  • Lead criticality assessments to prioritize assets and optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead preventive maintenance (PM) strategy reviews and revalidations to ensure effectiveness and alignment with reliability goals.
  • Perform detailed downtime analysis and drive resolution of recurring performance killers through systematic corrective actions.
  • Drive effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions to eliminate equipment failures.
  • Utilize APM software (Meridium) to manage plant performance, system recommendations, asset health, predictive analytics, and performance dashboards.
  • Leading and assuring effective monthly performance reports highlighting plant health indicators, downtime trends, reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE, availability), and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and improve key reliability metrics to support operational excellence and business targets.
  • Stay updated on and implement new technologies, including predictive analytics, digital twins, IIOT‑based reliability tools, and advanced diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and process engineering teams to improve plant performance and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with international reliability, safety, and asset management standards.
  • Ability in making decisions by Analyzing and managing existing assets (data analysis & monitoring, risk assessment, asset life cycle & asset acquisition) to determine their performance and to prolong their lifecycle.
  • Analytical & Problem‑Solving. Strong analytical skills to interpret data, diagnose issues, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with Meridium APM software (or equivalent).

Qualification, experience & skills required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; other engineering disciplines acceptable).
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in maintenance and reliability within the industrial or petrochemical sector.
  • Professional certifications are mandatory:
  • CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)
  • RCA Leader (Root Cause Analysis certified)
  • Strong knowledge of asset performance management frameworks and proven experience in leading APM initiatives.
  • Proficiency in downtime analysis, reliability investigations, and performance improvement strategies.
  • In‑depth understanding of maintenance and reliability best practices, risk assessment tools, and international standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to drive reliability improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to Lead RCAs.
  • Software skills (MERIDIUM, SAP system, MS office).
