Overview

The Spare parts & Consumable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the management and coordination of spare parts and machineries within an organization. They ensure the availability of necessary spare parts, monitor inventory levels, and supervise maintenance procurement activities related to machinery.

Main Responsibilities And KPI’s
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for spare parts and machineries based on project requirements, maintenance schedules, and cost considerations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and project teams to identify spare parts and machineries needed and ensure alignment with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers of spare parts and machineries based on quality, reliability, pricing, and technical capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms of delivery, and payment conditions.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and receipt of spare parts and machineries.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track deliveries, and address any issues or delays proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare parts and machinery procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze procurement data, such as costs, lead times, and supplier performance, to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, including training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, industrial management).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in spare parts management and machinery maintenance or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of spare parts inventory control and management practices.
  • Familiarity with maintenance procedures and best practices for machinery.
  • Experience in supervising and leading a team.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software.
  • Good knowledge of using SAP & Microsoft Office apps.
